Canterbury Draught

Canterbury Draught is a malty beer balanced with Nelson hops and rounded out with a hint of sweetness. This is a beer with body and flavour while remaining easy drinking.

The Ward's name is the oldest in New Zealand's brewing history, first appearing in 1854. The name was changed in September 1990 to Canterbury Draught to better reflect the brands local heritage and identity.

The beer still holds true to the high level of quality insisted by the founder, James Hamilton Ward. The Monde International Quality Awards in Belgium are the Beer World's Academy Awards and in September 1993 and again in 1994, OUR BEER was awarded a coveted gold medal in competition with 164 beers from 38 countries.
